Declaration of Intent 2

Declaration of Intent

Officiant: please face each other: As you look at one another, remember what brought you here. Your love, yes, but also all of the decisions you have made to keep your relationship growing. You each have come to recognize the value in yourselves and your relationship – that you are both deserving of love and worth the effort that goes into loving each other.

With that in mind I ask:

Do you, NAME and NAME, desire to be partners in marriage?

Do you promise to make every effort to share your love and respect for each other from this day on?

“We do.” Or “I do.”

If exchanging rings:

Officiant: Please face each other

Officiant: The wedding ring is a symbol of unending love, a circle that has no beginning and no end. Please exchange the rings as a symbol of your commitment to each other.

[Name], as you place the ring on [Name]'s finger, please repeat after me: "With this ring, I thee wed."

{Name]: With this ring, I thee wed.

[Name], as you place the ring on [Name]'s finger, please repeat after me: "With this ring, I thee wed."

[Name]: With this ring, I thee wed.

Pronouncement:

Officiant: Having witnessed your declaration of intent and the exchange of rings, by the power vested in me by the state of Tennessee, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may seal your vows with a kiss.

Kiss:

(Couple shares a kiss)

Closing:

Officiant: Congratulations! May your journey together be filled with love, joy, and countless happy moments.
